? about swapping ls1 hay im new to this thred i have a 03 silverado with a 4.8 engin and i wanted to know what it would take to do an ls1 swap or should i ust build the 4.8 just wanted to know thanx for the help

from what i've read, the 4.8L is basically the same as on LS1, obviously lower displacement and then a different (but just as good flow wise) intake. I would just stick with the 4.8L... put a cam/valve springs, exhaust, etc. all the basic mods for an LS1 would be the same for your 4.8L
The 4.8 and 5.3 motors are really strong for boost. HPtuners/efilive is your friend
