Default '94 FZJ80 Land Cruiser - LQ4 LS 6.0L swap

First time post, almost 3 year lurker. This forum is a valuable resource. I'm coming up almost 3yrs working on my LS swap into my Land Cruiser. Yes, I know it's sad and pathetic. Hard being a working family man.

My question to more experienced folks: I'm working on the evap system currently on my swap. My county requires me to convert a complete emission package from my donor vehicle into my Toyota. The evap system needs to function as it did in my donor '04 Yukon. The Yukon fuel tank has internal vapor evap lines that go to what appear to be vapor check valves (see attachment, I cut them out). I'm looking for options to use aftermarket parts to make external modifications to my Toyota steel tank to serve the same function. Those evap lines on the charcoal canister are 5/8" and 5/16". Can I use some roll over check valves with bulkhead fittings and some AN connections with quick connect adapters mounted in the top of the tank? The stock Toyota tank has a 6.5mm vapor line with a Toyota check valve that could serve as the 5/16" connection and T into a new 5/8" line? Anyone have tips or advice - please chime in. Thanks in advance.

not sure if this helps, but i think '02 and earlier had all that stuff external to the fuel tank. might be easier to convert all that

I'll check that out, curious where GM is using or running any vapor separators or check valves on that year? Check valves to let vapor through but hold fuel back.

Looks like the '03 and older GMT800's are using similar vapor separators and check valves (molded into the tank) but the lines run externally rather than internally through the fuel pump hanger like my donor does. Doing more research I got the idea to cut in a hole in the tank and use a press fit type like the older Fords used. They use a 1 1/8" hole with a rubber gasket. This might be the way to go?

I'm trying to integrate my '04 Yukon Fuel Level Sensor into my Toyota Land Cruiser fuel pump hanger. My first thought was connect the pivot point of the GM sensor to my Toyota float and sender. The concerns is my Toyota float has about a 66 degree swing where the GM sender has a 88 degree swing. If I mount the GM sensor to be at empty when my Toyota is empty when I fill up the tank the GM sensor will think the tank is only about 2/3 full. The only reason I am integrating the GM sensor is for the Evap system to stay legal. Would this cause any problems for the evap system, or throw a check engine light if I run it this way?
