It's been a long time since I've seen anything on one of my favorite build threads. Any updates, trozfan? Hope all is well with the Vette and the van!

Hey man. Just worked on the van today for the first time since January 2024! Life got in the way as it always does and the van moves to the lowest priority. I bought a beach house 2 years ago and that place has been nothing but projects. It’s also 2 1/2 hours away from me so that doesn’t help. Plenty of other projects at my main house as well. Plus, I bought 2 more wrecked salvage cars (one for my oldest son and one for me) that I had to fix up and get on the road. I just sold the Corvette a few weeks ago. I just needed something off my plate. It sucks but I am getting older and my priorities have changed since I bought it 10 years ago. It was running and driving but still needed a few things to be on the road. I am going to try and focus on the van and work towards getting it painted. It needs probably 200 hours of bodywork and door gaps, etc.

Worked on the van 2 days in a row! Working on the left hand side door. I decided to re-do my mounts for the door strikers. I did them like 12 years ago and they were very cheesy. Still have to weld them in. Nothing too exciting but it looks way better than the original ones.

Glad to hear you're back at it! I know how the "too many projects" thing works, although in my case I have much less skill to put into my projects, so my threshold is much lower. I need to go ahead and sell my Fox Mustang, which was my first car, but it has seen years of neglect and I've held onto it way too long.
