that duplicolor is great **** once you get used to spraying it (with the lines and stuff) i did almost an entire interior with it on a beater and you wouldn't believe the difference.

i would def look into that renovo stuff if money isnt an issue, i too have the curse of the tan top and will prolly be using that dye on mine to go black, its a little more expensive but i think a much more professional look in the end.

Thinking about getting on this project this weekend, I still have 2 or 3 cans left over from my two-tone doorpanel project. The tan top on my Polo green T/A would really nice black. Is there anything I need to address if the are a couple spots of mildew on the exterior(on top, near rear window). I had nothing to do with the mistreatment of this car, I'm trying to bring it back to standard . Good info fella's, later.

Could be, I had a batch of vinyl paint mixed once to match my olds and they put it in a rattle can for me, I would think if they mix it at a paint store, should be able to get it to use in a real gun.

I did this last weekend with the dupli-color and it looks soooo much better than it did, my top had bad dirty spots everywhere and this fixed that problem. I want to put some pic's up of it, can someone tell me how and I'll get them up this afternoon. Anyway, I really like the change in color to black.

Red is the hardest color to paint. Period. you have to make sure what your painting is light colored if you don't want a million coats, and spotless and all the exact same color underneath... pain in the ***...
