I had a well-built A4 before I did the swap and now it feels like I have a completely different car. MUCH more fun to drive and the best mod I've ever done to any car.

I have owned both, and even did an A4 to M6 swap on my 01 SS and went back to an A4 in it. The M6 was fun for a minute, but too much hassle trying to keep a clutch happy in it with 6800+ rpm shifting etc...

A4 if you are more straightline...
M6 if you are an all around type guy...

Above all..do what YOU want..

Man 5k for a swap?

Here is my breakdown

175 spec stage 3 clutch billet flywheel
200 mcleod master, rervoir, 3an fittings
21 dollars 3an break line
75 dollars slave
156.50 6 speed console , crossmember, pedal assembly
1000 t56 (gonna pick it up next weekend)

Thats a nice setup for me and worth the money. I am doing it because I burnt up my 3-4 clutch pack in a supposed "built" a4 tranny and decided to go with this. My car had a stall, shift kit etc, and I hated the way a loose stall felt. I love the immediate response of an m6 especially in a vert!

Its really all up to you. I like the fun driving of an m6 car!

BOOOOOOOOOOO for M6! Beat up H/C m6s from a dig all the time in my big stalled geared full bolt on A4!!!!!!!!!! Honestly, dont care, do what you like bro, most would choose an m6 any day over an A4. I just love when people here my stalled car and then look in and go, wow, sounds like an M6!
