Monsoon HU replacement in verts

I've run into some frustrating problems replacing my monsoon HU.

Bottom line is when it was installed, and working properly, including shutting off when the ignition was off, it drained my battery. I've posted this in the stereo section, but have gotten little response. I did a search and found one member here that had the same problem, and in a vert. I was wondering if anyone else here had similar problems. All the details of this are in the stereo section, under the title "HU install draining battery"

I haven't had this issue, but to many people, HUD = Heads up Display, something not on an F-body. If it is the monsoon head unit that is causing your problem, you might edit your post title in hopes of getting more looks.

thanks SOM, but I'm staying with the replacement. The monsoon that I removed has all the light bulbs blown. I've reinstalled the replacement, and will see what happens overnight.
