PLEASE HELP!!! I'm in Miami and my top is stuck OPEN ::cringe:: 2000 Z28
Synopsis: Few days ago (after not driving the car for a few days) I got into my car and when I went to put the top down, didn't work; not even a sound. I disconnected the button and when I plugged it back in, top worked perfectly! Figured maybe just made a bad contact. I left the top down because of the nice weather for the past few days...
Fast-forward to today: When I went to put the top up, it didn't move. I disconnected the button again with hopes that plugging it in and out a few times (like I did before) would help.... but nothing. The top is now stuck open :*(
I don't think it was my motor because it was working perfectly before this (albeit a tad bit slow since its a 2000... but at least it was consistent and wasn't waning out). Do motors just die out like that? Is it a bad button?
I've got rain clouds above as we speak and I'm extremely nervous; I have a cover on but it has a few very LARGE holes here and there.
I have an itch that it's something simple...or maybe thats just wishful thinking.
Help LS1 Tech! I neeeed you

sweet I'm gonna do that right now...fixes my immediate problem. I'll check the fluid while I'm at it...Thx!
Now...for the bigger picture... I don't know where the fuse for the top is because I'd like to check that for sure!
Or if anyone has had a similar problem and can chime in please do =)

Alrighty...the fluid on the pump is good. I'm having a feeling my switch is going so I'm gonna get a new one.
We'll see how it turns out ... thanks again!
