i was going to do it, but found it to be pointless since it doesn't seal off back there.
its just rear fill anyway. i have put a 15inch sub in place of the back seat - pretty effective with it aimed at your back with a 1600 watt amp strapped to it.

if you come up with any good ideas, please share them.

This guy is a sponsor here . We have exchanged emails and I plan to work with him to replace both front and rears in my vert. I just need to scrape some more cash together.

large speaker doesn't necessarily equal good sound.

I 'd recommend looking into the great audio section on tech.

Personally I have Alpine:

6.5" component speakers in the doors and A pillar.
6.5" coxical speakers in the sail panels
10" sub and a mono amp that drives the sub.

It sounds great for music i listen to, heavy/crash/death metal, some rap and some instrumental. It may not be best put together audio set up but it works for me.

I know this is an old post but I have a question that may work for me. I would like to have a pair of 6x9s laying on the back seats. My original thought is I would buy a pair of boxes w/ quick disconnects for when my budy's rugrats are in the seats. To hold the speakers in place would be two straps on each side bolted to the body in the split betwen the backrest & the cushion. Then I could pull the straps (one end screwed to the back of the speaker box connecting w/ a plastic snap clip in the center to the other 1/2 going behind the seats) & the power/ground wires from the crack when needed & clip them to the back of the speakers. The straps will be snug so the speakers won't bounce around. I would amplify the 6x9s only to the oem h/u. It is certainly not a high end setup but I feel it will it will be a huge improvement. Can anybody ad anything to make it better?

Amp was attached to box and box that fit snug in trunk well.
Nothing special but I can take a pic this sat.

Not into big bass anymore so will be taking the amp and box out if anyone is interested. Both amp and sub are alpine.
