It should fit very flush. You are putting the 3 pieces under the trunk lid, right?
If not, open your trunk lid, lay the 3 pieces out and 'click' in the two pieces that need it (the center and driver's side). Lower the trunk lid and you are set to go. If installed properly these pieces do not fly off at high speeds. It is all very solid. If you still can't figure it out, I'll take some photos if you need them.
