Touch Screen HU in 'vert - visibility Looking to upgrade my headunit in my 'vert, and I was curious how the aftermarket (JVC, Pioneer) HU's fare in a convertible - I am thinking the sun will really wash out the screen and make it illegible.
Any experience?

You are quite right about the sun when the top is down. My GT's satellite radio display is next to impossible to read at times. With you being in a northern climate I doubt you would have too much 'down' time though.

My Alpine gets bad at certain times if the sun is in the right (or wrong?) position.
I usually have to pick up my hand to make a shadow so I can see the time or some detail like distance before a turn. Other than that I can see / read what's going on in bad sun.
Even then, I still prefer the double din screen in my vert.

Cool, good to know - didn't really think of the differences in MFGers, I was thinking an "all or nothing" kind of thing. I'll look into the pioneers.
