Convertible Top

Convertible Top Hi All- Just picked up this 1997 Trans Am w/ 30K original on her. Searched online and my area (GM Dealer) for help but cannot find what i am looking for, will only sell a whole top assembly. It has a automatic top but a plastic ball joint end on a rod that holds up one of the cross-members of the top so it will fold back nicely is broke. and the other side the rod is missing completely. Any idea where i can find what i need?

That's a shame the dealerships can't help out. You would think these parts would be available without buying the whole assembly. If mine broke I would start searching the salvage yards after double checking with many dealerships about availability. Maybe someone here is parting out a 'vert. That would be really nice. I did stop at a few GM dealers who were no help, and I did call salvage yards in my area, but i will start expanding my radius on them i think.
I did find a similar rod that is straight though on the Air Ride of a Buick, but have not went and found one yet to try it out.
