'vert top cylinder replacement Hello all, I recently acquired my '02 T/A 'vert & the top doesn't work. From what I can figure, the cylinder on the left (driver's side) is leaking. I can barely see it, much less figure out how to replace it.
You would think that GM would have made some kind of access panel but no !
I would like to get some pointers on how to replace it before I go crazy & tear half the car apart.
Any and all help or tricks to do it, would be greatly appreciated.

Pretty easy if i remember correctly. Take the side panel and the lower seat out. All my fluid was under my seat. I think the cylinder is just held in there with clips. Move the top up or down till you can get at the cylinder. I fixed mine by putting a new o ring in the cap. They are only plastic. Put a short line on it with it full of fluid in your hands. Raise it up and down and you will see the the leak.
