GREAT QUESTION. Instead of spending $2,000 to fix the top on a $500 car I figured I would just leave the top down and cover the cabin for good. I think I was looking at the model you posted, but it'd be great to hear some feedback from people...

I've seen those on roadsters, usually imports like BMW Z3, etc..., and they function well in dry conditions. It's not effective in rainstorms, snow, or even high wind conditions unless completely 'snapped' down which isn't possible or the case for most cars.
