im probably crazy but i like my stock chrome 16" wheels, im looking to get another pair and add some drag tires. whats the largest size tire that will fit that rim and not cause tire rub? thx sorry for the thread jack!

I already have the rims but didn't know if 305 or 315 or 295 would work without too much difficulty. I haven't purchased the rubber yet. Obviously I'm no different than most I want as wide as can fit.

I also have 18x10.5 rear rims. Not positive on the offset but they stick out further than stock. I think I had them add the 1" in extra width to the outside of the rim. I just installed 305/40 18 555r DR. Clears ok, no rubs or contact anywhere. Stock ride height.

so with the 40 profile that makes it approximately 27.5 tall. You don't have any rubbing on full acceleration?

Also, my lower control arms are in the lowest relocation hole. So I don't think my car squats much. Just wanted to note that.

When I was exploring , I used this tool to figure out things like over all height of new wheel/tire combo vs old stock set up.
