Default 2002 boot

Is the boot suppose to flex down when the trunk is shut?

Talking about the boot covers, right? Just a little when the trunk closes on the tabs. It has to hold it secure. Just make sure everything lines up properly and you insert the driver's side properly into the center piece.

I am not sure exactly what you mean. I don’t think mine moves at all when I close the trunk.
Like NC01TA said, only the tabs are covered by the trunk lid.

Would you please post a pic?

I used white Plasti Dip and glossifier

Sorry about the pics...I have tried to rotate them but they still end up like this...I wish someone would tell me how to correct this issue.

I have a long piece of rubber molding that covers the tabs so the paint in that area doesn't get scratched.
