Anyone had to replace their top?

I have a 99, and on the driver's side, the top mechanism has somehow begun to rub a hole through the top (to the point where water can go through). I think the top is misaligned...

First question: has this happened to anyone else and, have you had any luck getting this covered under warranty? Secondly, if anyone has had the top replaced without it being covered by the warranty, how much is it for a new top (incl. labor, etc.)?

I needed an alignment when I had warranty. I got it done w/o a problem. That stuff can be really expensive w/o warranty. I have no idea, though... Anyone?
