I just put in the KBDD's today. The fit was pretty good and were pretty simple to install. My driveway isn't paved so usually when I'm driving down it there are all sorts of squeaks, creaks and rattles, went for the test drive tonight, not a sound. Car did feel a little tighter but it was kinda tough to tell just how much they helped from that short drive and after driving my dad's car which rides like a boat for a week.

Next weekend is the two day autoX event at Miller Park in Milwaukee. I'll be interested if some of the other WS6 owners will be able to tell cuz we switch cars etc all day.

Let us know if they do >>>>>>.......................................

The welding wasn't all that hard at all. They went in easy and in my opinion they were the strongest ones out on the market.

They are strong

KBDD here as well. Put them on with in months after picking the car up in 01. Car felt much tighter then, but today, I am very use to it. It will make the car ride a little rougher, especially with the SLP level 1 susp. I got to ride in a ws6 not long ago, and it did ride smoother compared to mine.

But for my vert, I would never use anything else but KB. Makes lifting the car in the middle much easier. No more going from point to point to lift it.

BMR here. I noticed an instant difference in ride and handling. Stiffened up the whole body for sure. Absolutely no rocking or creaking in the body any more. The verts are so fragile to begin with that the SFC should be standard equipment to make the car rigid.

KBDDs here, big difference, probably best mod that can be done for a 'vert. Don't waste time w/ bolt-ins, they'll help a little....... for a while...... until the bolts loosen slightly or the holes elongate....... then they are dead weight.

I am planning to have KBDD SFCs installed under my 99 Firebird Vert. Can anyone recommend an experienced installer in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex? I want to be sure the job is done correctly. Also, any recommendations on where to purchase them locally would be appreciated. Thanks!

BMR Weld-In's right here on a Pro-Kit car, sits up high and didn't take away ground clearance at all. REALLLLLLLLY stiffened up the ride and body roll when going into turns. After the huge trips I've done with my car, I could tell the difference as soon as they were put in.

They come with an extra bracing underneath to help keep the chassis from flexing b/c there isn't a top. I had to cut mine out when installing my TDs dumped and honestly it felt like 4" paper after I got it out and probably weighed just as much

Kenny Brown is in recovery and won't be making anymore stuff until he fully recovers and gets back in the swing of things.

Honestly, I don't know where some of these people bought their's from recently cause the shop has been closed for awhile now.
On ebay, maybe?

How much would it run to have a shop weld them in? I have no clue how to do that but SFC are my next mod. My friend just got bolt-ins and says they're great. Could I get bolts-ons and just weld them later without a problem?

I've received quotes from $60 to $120. Prices will very depending on the welder's experience with subframes with the Fbody.

Just look for subframes for your style fbody and then decide on tubular or boxed. Then see who makes them for the VERT (because the vert and hardtop/t-top versions ARE different). IF you want to get the "Diamond" style (the kind the connects the width of the undercarriage) contact the manufactuer to see if it will fit with your TH350, cause that will be an issue. If you decide on just the connection from the front to the rear frames ONLY, then your choice of transmission is not factored in.

Anyone know where you can buy SFCs without using a credit card (ie paypal or online check)?
