Convertible top cleaning tip
Was at the store shopping and was looking for something else when I ran across a new product, Mr. Clean "Magic Erasers". Bought a box and tried them when I got home. Simply get wet, squeeze out , and make a circular motion on the top while applying pressure.
UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! So easy and could see the dirt lift off into the eraser as I did it. Very little effort required. Whole top took less than 15 minutes. First two photos show a strip on the rear that I did not use the eraser on. Next two photos showing the top portion completely cleaned..last photo shows comparison of that same area after using other products (dirty half), and the Mr. Clean eraser (clean half). Top looks almost new. Just thought I would share and hopefully contribute to this forum.
Not sure you should use on fabric tops...mine is a smoother grain type vinyl.
P.S. Works great on countertop stubborn stains...hardly have to rub and out they come....impress your wife or girlfriend with your domestic skills...lol.

However when I used the eraser, the top was like brand new...took the remaining dirt out of the top grain in the vinyl. Even if yours is fairly clean, I think you see an immediate difference.

I'm going to give this a shot though, sounds like it works well for the stuff it doesn't dissolve.

Will do an incredible job on a smooth vinyl top, especially lighter colored ones that have accumulated some dirt, etc over time. You won't believe the difference. The first place you rub will make the rest of the top look even dirtier than it was.
