Question Rear window defogger clip

The metal tab that seems to either be soldered or glued onto the rear window defogger came off. Any recommendations for an adhesive that will also be a conductor of electricity? I know silicone with hold it in place, but is an insulator and wouldn't allow current to pass through it. I thought of JB weld, as it's made to hold metal, but I don't want to try it unless I know it's a conductor. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Use with adequate ventilation. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Avoid
breathing vapors. Do not store the product above 100°F/38°C. Do not flame, cut, braze weld or melt empty
containers. Keep the product away from heat, open flame, and other sources of ignition. Avoid contact with strong
acids, alkalis and oxidizers.
Im thinking JB Weld might not a god idea. Why not solder it back on? You can pick up a soldering gun for about 20-25 dollars.

Electrically conductive adhesives typically contain high amounts of silver to make them conductive. They may not be conductive enough to make your defroster function properly. They are also considerably weaker from an adhesive standpoint when compared to conventional adhesives. Another downside is they are expensive.

I would second the recommendation to use solder. Just make sure you are protected from dripping any excess molten solder.

The concern I have about soldering is providing enough heat to solder without breaking the glass.

That is a valid concern. There is a product called frostfighter. Their website may be more able to answer your questions. They may have a tech support hotline.
