That won't do anything if you roll.

Just get real roll bar.

Pretty much. The rear-bar does come out when I am not racing. But an adult can smack his head against the bar.

Mine is real. Not sure why I said that. I think it was to the guy who just had a hoop.

Do you think a thick padding wrapped around the bar, could help out a bit? I dont usually ride with passengers in the back seat but maybe have an option. I guess it wouldn't be for far distances but still....

It would help, but they can still hit the bar.

what kind of padding do/would you use? Anyone got pics of the "cleanest" rollbar with padding?

Most speed shops or catalog outlets sell roll bar coverings.

BUT don't even think about carrying passengers! Do some seraches and you'll find some people recommend you use a helmet if the car has a bar installed. If you rap your head hard on even a padded bar you could be toast. Personally I think it depends on the installed dimensions and whether you have a 5 pt harness.

honestly, i understand the implications.... but for DD driving, a helmet is that necesary? And no passengers even with padding in the back, that wont be that bad but im sure they'll come a day that i might need to haul someone, adult sized, amle or female, in the back...
