i dont WANT a cage but the local track will only let me run 10.0 without it. i plan to go .3-.4 faster soon. I am getting one with dual swingouts so it is not a nuisance for everyday driving which i do a lot of.

I think I will get a list together of the parts I have removed and their weight on the calibrated scale I have used. Most of these weights differ from the weights Colonel has posted up in Drag Racing Tech forum.

I have a question cuz you guys should know. When I went to the track, they told me that the rules dictated I needed a roll cage if I ran under a 14.0 1/4 with a Convertible. Is this true (they do far faster than this stock)?

Just try another track. We've got two in town, one boots me, one I go to all the time with no problems. The one that won't let me run will let me run the eighth and then coast as long as I don't go faster than 14.0 in the 1/4.

That would be nice.....but we only have 1 track (which only opened back up a few years ago.....it was closed for about 8 years). The next closest track is about 5 hours away.

I guess I just have to get another car if I want to actually go to the strip.....oh well......I'd still rather have a convertible!!!
