Question What grease for the top joints?

In the How to maintain your convertible sticky, it says:
Once you have gotten all the trim you know need to lube all of the joints. Lay the top all the way down. This will expose all of the joints; generously lube them up with any suitable grease.
I'm not trying to be dense, but what grease would be suitable? And how do I actually grease the joints where the grease would be inside the joint, not just slathered around it?

Thanks.

Permatex Ultra Slick Multi Purpose with PTFE. I did my research awhile back and there were two products heads above anything out there. The other was Dupont Performance Multi Use Lubricant. I used them both and Pematex was much better for interior.

Permatex Ultra Slick Product Info

"This high quality product can be used on any moving parts to provide better, longer lasting lubrication that withstands higher temperatures, up to 350°F, and is safe on more surfaces than petroleum based products. "Ultra Slick Synthetic Multi-Purpose Lubricant is translucent with low odor, which is what technicians have asked for." Said Permatex Director of Automotive Marketing, Tony Battaglia, "The formula was designed specifically to meet their (technicians') needs. "

The unique wicking action of the aerosol version of the Permatex Ultra Slick Multi-Purpose Lubricant makes it a fast and easy product to use, since it delivers from the spray can as a liquid and sets up as a grease. This allows for penetration of the parts and puts the grease where you need it rather than all over your garage."

Never tried that, where did you find it at? I use Mobil 1 grease, comes in a tube that you put in a grease gun.

I bought this and several other lubes online from Midway Auto Supply. $5.99 Most local shops in Phoenix had no idea what I was talking about when trying to order it. It's a newer product for Permatex.
