Default weight reduction

what has everyone done to reduce their cars weight?? i am looking to reduce some weight but i dont want to do anything extreme like take out the power steering or the abs. I was thinking about removing my A/C since it doesn't work anyway and maybe looking into some light weight carpet, but what else can i do to reduce the weight but still have a car that is safe...any input would be very helpful..thanks

I am assuming you haven't already since its not stated, but you can drop some weight by removing the spare tire and jack. Also remove the AIR pump and EGR if you haven't as well. Thats a good start on weight reduction. A lot of people will remove the rear seats and windshield washer tank, those are the most common ones I can think of just sitting here. Hope that helps some.

look in drag racing forum. Use to be a long list. A/C system & spare tire are the easiest way.

Underdrive pulley reduces weight and adds power.

It doesnt say in your sig what transmission you have, but if you are an automatic, an aftermarket torque convertor weighs 20-30 lbs. less than the stocker. Big improvement in ETs and nice weight reduction at the same time.

aluminum flywheel took some weight off mine, but i also got alot heavier clutch then stock. so overall im about the same as the original clutch/flywheel weight. take everything out of the trunk. a arms k member and coil overs soposedly take off over 100lbs off the front. replace the front steel brackets with aluminum(the ones that hold your headlights etc).. take out the foam behind the bumpers+ any plastic visual stuff you might not want(front grill insert, side strips_dont know what there soposed to be called). i would immagine theres a ton of places to drill out metal that wouldnt take away strenght of the car... the convertible body's are stiff as hell. but i wouldnt recomend anyone to do it. i might try some of these i just havent gotten around to it yet+ my dads got both his old trucks in the garage so theres no room for my car to go on the lift where one of the trucks are.
