Default cowl shake and STB?

My 1995 vert has bad cowl shake. I do have bolted and welded SFCs. Did adding a STB help the cowl sharke, or was it a waste of money and extra weight. From what I hear for the t top and hard top cars is that an STB really doesnt do anything. I do not AutoX my car at all.

Let me know,

Thanks

I can't help with the STB question. But I thought you would like to know I had a significant decrease in cowl shake when (at 24,000 miles) I replaced the stock DeCarbon shocks with a set of Bilstein HDs (I run stock springs). If you haven't already, replace the shocks with something decent (Koni or Bilstein get my vote).

I second the shocks, I did BMR springs and Bilsteins and it helped with the cowl shake. My UMI STB helped too my wife even asked if I had done something to the car when she drove it. I have just a TINY vibration and that could be my poly motor mounts...

Shocks first
Springs
then if you have some money left over STB only for verts on my coupe it was just weight.

I have been very happy with mine. I was not looking for performance but rather to help the car last. We have such poorly maintained roads around here that they will rattle a convertible to death.
