Default Common vert problems?

I've owned more than enough fourth gen cars to know the typical f-body problems, but I am in the process of buying a 98 Z convertible for my fiance with 45,000 miles, and am wondering what common problems to expect to show up that relate specifically to it being a convertible. I do not intend to make it a track car like my SS. Upon getting the car I plan to put sub frame connectors in it and to leave it alone otherwise.
Are there chronic failures to expect, or that I can do some preventative maintenance on once I get the car?
I'm sure a search would point out various issues, just looking for some basics on the verts as I've never owned one. Or anything I should look at before actually buying the car.

The only thing I would make sure to check is where the back window attaches to the top. I didnt notice mine was seperating when i bought it. Found out in order to fix it theyd have to order a new window $550 . Also being a convertible one of the first things you'll notice is it doesnt feel as stiff as a hard top over bumps. You feel the body wiggle since theres no top. Other than that have fun, I wouldnt go any other way especially on those nice Florida evenings after its cooled down.

My first vert leaked a little but after a carwash the window on drivers side would not work.I think water got to switch.Replace switch and everything A-OK.So if you go through a carwash have a few towles to set over swithes or get window adjusted so as not to leak (if possible)My '99 doesn't leak so maybe you'll get lucky!

Thanks guys, I feel a little better now about buying one, car has new tires, brakes and power window motors replaced, so at least some of the basic worries are taken care of. The car was garage kept and babied in Buffalo New York. I do wonder how quickly the Florida sun is going to toast the top, although it looks as if you guys have found a few protective sprays that I'll look to try.

Thanks for the input guys!
