What should I do next?
Current mods:
- Flowmasters, 30lb fuel injectors, SLP cold air, SLP MAF
98 Trans Am Vert, A4
Assuming by performance you mean horsepower only. Also that you do most of the work yourself.....1- Replace Flowmaster with Dynomax ultraflow approx $160 installed.
2 - Buy a low mile used Yank or Vig 3200-3500 converter from a TRUSTED board member for about $350
3- B & M tranny cooler from summit $55
4- Edelbrock headers $550.00
6- ASP Pulley and belts 240
7- Era ported TB - 85 shipped
8 - Tuning $150-450.00 (will go with 150 for mail order tunes mods are pretty simple)
9- Nitto DR's- 300
You'd have some change left over, a solid performer, but more importantly a setup for the next step which is heads and cam.
But that list would really change your car performance wise. If it were me and 2k I'd go hood, wheels and tires first because that would make your bird look nasty and the 17's just feel better then the 16's.
Also I'd probably try and sell the SLP MAF and use that towards the fund.
JMHO You could go verter and nitrous and have more umph but only when the bottle is open
