changing fuel pump

who has done it on there vert? im putting a walbro 225 in and i dont know if i can cut a hole in the trunk like i see all the hatch guys doing or if i have to drop the tank.

I heard verts have to drop the tank...but I haven't done it myself, read about it somewhere as I'm doing the same thing soon

I just dropped the tank on mine. Only took a little over an hour, super easy if you can put your car on a rack. Plus you don't have a hole in your floor pan.

I cut mine, Same place as the hard tops, only took me bout 30min. Also made a door out of sheet metal then fastened it down with screws.

I Droped The Tank On My Vert I Believe Cuting A Hole Is The Short Cut Way And A Hack Job If You Ask Me Plus You Can Inspect Your Gas Tank And Lines Properly If Gm Wanted You To Change The Fuel Pump Without Dropin It They Would Have Provided An Acces Panel To Do So And The Manual States To Drop It They Would Not Make You Go Through Extra If They Did Not Think It Was Nessesary!
