Question Maybe someone here can help.....

I have an 00 z28 convertible that I am going to install true duals on. Just wondering (I tried in the exhaust forum already with no responce) if anyone in here has done this and if there were any issues like having to remove and replace any of the stock setup. ie: torque arm or tunnel brace. Any help would be appreciated. If someone has done it here, do you have any pics?

It's the same as the hardtop and ttop. The exhaust points are the same and nothing under the vert will get in the way. If it's your first time, I suggest spending a few extra dollars and take it to performance shop or any exhaust shop that will let you under your own car while they work on it. So you can see for yourself.

When I looked under the car I saw a big *** brace over the tunnel. It was probably 2' by 2'. It is right over the drive shaft and I saw that the points that bolt in toward the rear of the brace are in the way. Inside of this brace is to narrow for the pipe to go through. If I reomve this piece, is there another more compatible brace that can take its place and provide more clearance for the 3" pipe. The location of this stock brace that is there is more towards the front middle of the car. It is pretty much right where you would want the X pipe junction to go.

Got 3inch duals on mine. Just like mentioned before you will not have an issue putting them on. That brace will need to come out and does not have to be replaced. Many of us are running without it.. even in autoX without any issues.

Perfect! That was the pic I needed. I wasn't sure if that brace would be an issue if I dropped it. Thanks.
