Default z06 clone possibly

i talked to a guy today he says his car was a 02 z06 the badges
on the side of his car says z06 405 hp but when he lifted the hood the coil covers read 5.7 L so is this a z06 clone car r is that how they come

The C5Z ('01-'04) IS 5.7L.

The Z06 coil covers red with black writing as opposed to the normal vette where the covers are black with red writing. Also this does not mean anything, anyone can change the coil covers.

The 8th character on the VIN should be an "S" if it is a Z06

the NEW style z06's are a 7.0L but the old ones are 5.7's just like the regular C5's the heads, intake, cam and exhaust are different. I also theink there are some differences in the blocks.
