c6 stick or auto
OK so the c5 is a total loss so I'm looking at an 06+ c6 just cant decide on stick or auto. I'm leaning toured the 6 speed auto but just wondering how there holding up, what kind of power is braking them hows the gas mileage or what you all that have them think about them. this is for my dd so post your thoughts and help me decide Thanks for your input.

I have a H/C/Bolt on LS2 06 C6 A6 and would not trade it for a manual after having it tuned. IT HAS TO BE TUNED THOUGH. IThe A6 needs a TCM tune.
It does not miss a beat and there are more than a few guys with north of 500rwhp doing well too. The aftermarket will catch up with them soon and Vengeance just did a TT C6 A6 w/740rwhp on an RPM built A6

Take a look at my sig. I went from two manuals into an A6. Worst mistake I have ever made in performance cars. I finally got back into a manual a few weeks ago. I will save the autos for my trucks and daily drivers from now on. My Vettes will always be manuals now. Much more fun to drive, IMO.
Incidentally, I don't drag race the Vettes. They are road course cars. If you're making a dragster, then I would vote for the A6 (or a built A4).

I have a Z06 that I convered to an auto, RPM Level V.
Depends on how fast you wanna go...I run 9's with mine, no way could I ever shift that fast. I have to admit, I thought I'd be bored with the auto, but I'm not. Don't be afraid of the auto, they both have their advantages.

I have 500 rwhp / 540 rwtq on my 2006 A6... no issues yet... If you are into drag racing and don't want to break the bank or your car, the A6 is much easier on your output shafts and rear.
I wanted an auto because the car was going to be my daily driver and also wanted the wife to be able to drive. The car is not daily driven and wish at times that I had a stick, but for an automatic car, it is a lot of fun.....
Test drive each one and see how it feels.

Go rent one from Hertz or someone else for a day and see what you think.
