Don't shop payments. You can't really compare one deal to another. There are too many variables: cost of the vehicle, interest rate (which depends on your credit score), down payment, length of loan.

Your best option when shopping is to walk in with pre-approved financing from your bank or credit union. That way you only need to negotiate the out-the-door price and walk away with a buyer's order.

A fairly new C6Z will easily set you back over $1000/month depending on the down payment and loan terms.

I just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only "idiot" walking around with a huge monthly payment

I'm look at right around $930

I drive mine every weekend but hardly ever durring the week. I also live in Florida so I can drive it all year. Watch your payment on the C6Z if you can't drive it all year, otherwise you may wish you didn't have it. Not driving it for 3-5 months and paying $800+ a month would drive me nuts.

Just sucks making that big monthly payment when she sits in the garage.
Being from Minnesota, I know the feeling. The only good thing is that it keeps the miles low, and makes me appreciate it that much more each spring.

It's only got a year for payoff too

I just plain enjoy driving it around. In the summer i take it to the drag strip and i also auto-x. It always puts a smile on my face getting behind the wheel

I'll drive mine in the winter when the weather is nice. cold and dry is fine. Just give it some miles to warm up (engine and tires). Driving the car in winter gives you the -DA mod.

And before some of you whine, it's a f**king car, its going to get dirty sometimes. I try to hose it off when possible, but it can be a while in the winter since I don't want my driveway to be a skating rink.

I drag race, rip up some back roads, the occasional romp on the highway, shows, hangouts, modding it...ect. I hope to make it to my first road course and auto-x this year!!

Oh, and its paid off. All i have to pay a month is $72 for full coverage!

I drive mine daily, winter, summer, whatever. And I take it to the track occasionally.

I drive mine daily, winter included, so for me the main enjoyment is not being stuck behind the wheel of a boring econobox every day!

I also take it to the dragstrip once or twice a year too.

I totally love the fact that the Corvette can be reliably driven every single day and really doesn't cost an arm and a leg to repair. Mine has almost 103,000 miles on it and runs great! It honestly still drives like a new car, it doesn't feel it's age at all.
