Default AC compressor, bad job?

I've got a friend that wants me to put an ac compressor in his c5 vert, i peeped it really quick and seen two bolts holding it on on top, are there bolts below as well, how bad of a job is this? TIA

It's not very fun. I pulled my complete powertrain last winter so I've got some experience with it. There's the 2 bolts on the side which will hit the frame when you back them out since they are so long. 1 in particular. When I put the car back down on the powertrain I had the top 2 bolts in backwards so I had to use a 5' pry bar with the engine mounts unbolted to push the engine over enough to get them out of the compressor. Not very fun. There are 2 other bolts from underneath you'll have to remove while you are unbolting the engine mounts. Just use some short 2x4 wood blocks to push the bar against. That'll help you push the engine to the side. Some muscles are certainly needed for it and it's certainly not a 1 person job.

Maybe somebody has a trick that makes life easier but we couldn't figure out an easier way.

Good luck!

Can't blame you there! I snapped a pic last night since I was looking to see if removing the WP would have worked. It makes sense that it would but there still isn't much room to move stuff out of the way in there...
