Differences of C6-Zs between years?
price! sorry...i couldn't resist. Seriously though, go with the one with the best price/APR for financing and have at it with the Mods. No regrets. I was pricing an 06 when i was shopping and bought an 07 because i got a better interest rate, even though i paid 5K more for her. Over 6 years, i save a lot more.

The big things are.....06 to 07, 07 has more heat/sound deadner, different "z06" logo on headrest, no hatch pull-down. 08-09 has a new improved tranny that is not (shifts like ****)but has higher torque capacity. 09 has new wheels. The black 06's are the fastest

Actually, I believe they added the hatch pull down in 2009 and also bluetooth (2LZ/3LZ).
They also changed the door sill plates in '09 to put a Z06 logo instead of "Corvette".
2009 models have the larger capacity dry sump from the ZR1.
My '08 tranny shifts fine. My friend's '08 JSB is also fine. It's only a small percentage of cars that are having the grinding issue.
