Went to the track last saturday! I took my 2002 m6 to gateway on saturday, here's how we did.

The track prep was bad. I was having slight wheel spin most of the way through 1st, even on bfg drag radials. overall i was happy with the times, and it looks like with a solid 60' the car will be close to 11's. The only mods are a K&N cone filter, cat delete, x-pipe, no mufflers!

Very nice, I went yesterday with my '99 coupe. I was trapping right about the same as you but no where near the 60'. I was on 19" street tires with a best of 2.1. How are you launching the car with the DRs? Thanks!

I was letting the clutch out fast from 3-4k rpm, almost dumping the clutch. I tried slipping it some on the first pass but that got me the slower 60'. So on the next two passes i gave it more rpm and faster clutch release. If the track was better and with a bigger burnout the 60' would have been closer to 1.6-1.7.

I have very little done to the car. Only mods are a K&N cone filter that replaced the stock airbox, x-pipe with the cats deleted, and no mufflers! stock 3.42 gears. I had my buddies wheels on the back with 315/40/17 BFG drag radials. The drag radials didn't even help out nearly as much as they could have with the best 60' being a 1.969. It was opening day at the track and the prep was bad. I think it can break into the 11's with a great 60'. That would be bad *** with only having about $200 in the car!
