Vortexx Rammer or Callaway Honker???
All that being said I'd NEVER use a Vararam. I went with a Callaway. I have 2 reasons why the Vararam is not for me.
The build quality of the Vararam has been questioned in thread after thread on Corvette Forums all over the net. The seal between the upper and lower box does not stay put and this can allow unfiltered air to get into the engine. The second reason is that more people seem to hydrolock their engine with the Vararam than with any other CAI. Because the Vararam sits so low it's easier to suck water up then with the Callaway. The Callaway sits up much higher than the Vararam.
I have read one person who said they hydrolocked their engine with the Callaway compared to multiple people with the Vararam. I don't drive my Corvette in the rain very often but this was a bit of a concern.
My main reason is I just don't want to have to check the Vararam weekly to assure it is not allowing unfiltered air into my engine.

has is that you could buy an optional pre-cut/pre-riveted shroud so you didnt have to mess doing it yourself.

The other 3 are the same. Vortex is the lowest in cost. Go with that one IMO.
I used it on one of the C5s I had in the past. I paid ~ $250 for it AND a pre-cut radiator shroud for quick install and saving the stock one. Took literally 15-20 minutes to install.
