Same here, I am getting lean codes all the time now.
P0171. Two banks are running lean. It is intermittent, but annoying and worrisome. Since I have not noticed THAT big of a performance increase, I may pull mine out and sell it for some thing else for the car.

I love the Vararam on mine.. if you get the car tuned by someone that knows what they are doing you won't have any problems with codes IMO. I do all my tuning and haven't had a code EVER in the year and a half i've had everything on the car. My car traps pretty well in bad air with the help of the Vararam CAI (that mph corrected for my altitdue is 120.69 FYI).
The problem has to do with the MAF seeing the sometimes sudden rush of air due to the high flow characteristics of the Vararam. My car will sometimes surge a tad if i'm going into a strong headwind with a light load on the motor because of this, but no codes. The reason other CAI's don't do this is because they don't work as well.

I have known people that have driven their cars in downpours with the vararam and had no problems. Then I have heard a story or two about people going through water and screwing up the engine. If you look at the setup, that water level would have to be at least halfway up the front end of the car and the car going pretty quick for that to happen. The vette is not a damn 4x4 truck. If you see alot of standing water, stop and think. It is COMMON SENSE, use it.

But even the stock one can suck water if you're not careful. There are warnings in the owner's manual.
