can anybody tell me ????? hi my kid is wanting to buy a vette can anyone tell me what would be the area of concern in purchaseing a 98 corvette ,auto these are new to us thanks for any comments.
It is a nice car. You could pick one a 1998 vette automatic for cheap. I am guessing 14k. I do not know of any problems with the 98's with the automatic. My concern is that if you mod the car the trans might not hold long.
I got mine for 22k last summer it's a 98 it only had 28k on it. My guess is at that price for you it would have to be high milage. Pretty much the only thing you would have to worry about is the steering column lock but you can get a bypass for it for like 50 bucks

If you can look for a 99 or 2000.. ABS system is better and located in a different place. Also you have more options.
If not just make sure the motor is quite, and the tranny shifts ok.. lots of people have put 100 + k miles on them
