Service Column Lock
Service Column Lock I recently took my 2001 Z06 out of storage and the battery was weak, but the car ran fine. I charged the battery and Im now getting the column lock error msg. The car is dying after 1.5mph so Im assuming it has gotten the recall repair done. From what I have gathered, the only thing that the recall did on those cars was reprogram the pcm to shutoff the car. I also take it that after you get an error message you can no longer just buy the k harness or clb to fix the problem? what is my next step?

There is a fuse you can pull that will allow you to get the car out of locked position...mine does it all of the time now..but since the fuse it pulled I just turn the car off and shock the steering wheel and it allows me to go on about my day after I turn the car back on. Very annoying..but at least I am not stuck some place.

CLB = Column Lock Blocker OR Column Lock Bypass (Depends on who you talk to)
