Mod help Just picked up a 05 c6 looking for headers any tips for a brand with the most gain? Also want an xpipe and what would be the best mufflers to go with? Thinking of getting a vram kit but I saw other peoples post on them would I need a tune for these mods? Any help would be great thanks
there are a lot of different header manuf. out there... find one in your price range..or see if you can pick up a used set... I have LG's on mine (C5) and I am very happy with them, but there are other quality manuf out there too...
the vararam helped out my C5 alot.. I am sure it would do the same on a C6...
I would recommend a tune if you are putting headers and full exhaust and a vararam on a car. the tune will help the a/f ratio and help drivability alot, and the tuner can eliminate the rear o2 sensors, so you don't have to buy simulators they can also eliminate the skip shift if you have a manual trans, change fan temps if you are running a cooler thermostat. my tune helped a lot, gained 10-15 hp and tq throughout the rpm range, and it drove much better afterwards...
as far as a cat back, there are quite a few choices, just depends on the sound you are looking for, I have a Borla Touring on mine, and I love the sound, it is not very lound at cruising speeds, but does have a mellow tone outside of the car, but when you step on the loud pedal, it comes alive...
