Default Drag Radials on stock c5 z06

Should I worry about breaking anything if just using these on the street?

I was considering using the M/T 305/35/18 or the BFG 295/35/18. I am leaning more towards the M/T b/c my TA has them and they work very well.

Thanks!

No, you should not have anything to worry about and I would get the m/t.

alright. I have an 01 z06 with just an intake. First and second gear seem to be useless. I've tried racing a couple cars including a GT500 which just resulted in me being sideways through 1st and 2nd even from a slow roll.

Anything mechanical has the possibility of breaking at any time. That is just the nature of the beast. With that said, yes it is possible for even a stock motor to make enough power to break drivetrain components with a decent set of sticky tires.

Personally, I had Nitto DR's on the back of mine for a couple years and loved them. Didn't break anything either.

for street use only I would ****** a pair of nitto 555r's instead of the ones listed... you get a little more life out of them (especially the MT's) and with my H/C Z06 it dead hooks on the 555r's in 305/35/18's

If you just use them on the street you probably will be ok. On a well prepped track you will eventually break something if you launch hard without slipping the clutch.
