LS3 oilpan on C5? Fit?

LS3 oilpan on C5? Fit? About to install a LS2 6 qt oilpan on my C5 Corvette... when I learn that the LS3 is an 8 qt system/pan. Does anyone know r has anyone installed one of these units on a C5? I'd even be interested if it worked on a C6 corvette,... cause the LS2 fits,... and if the LS3 will fit on the LS2,.. then maybe it'll fit on the C5 platform as well.
I'm hoping someone has some insight on this. Thanks in advance.

Cool, so the LS3 fits a C5?.. Sweet. Always knew the C6 LS2 would,... just wasn't sure on the LS3. Just curious, how do you know this,... before I place an order... just want to be sure, clearance wise, IE ground clearance, engine cradle clearance. My parts department would laugh if I said I have a part I need to return or exchange. Thanks again.

The LS2 and 3 use the same pan, both of which are a 5.5qt design vs. the 6.5 tq design of the C5's batwing pan. I have a LS3 pan on my (ls3) shortblock in my car, and it opened up a freaking TON of room around my APS turbo's.
