Cool Contol Thy Wastegate!

O.K. guys you talked me into it!

I'm adding a new bypass solenoid for cold tires, and the hills!

Sounds cool man. Be safe. Smoke a joint or something, I hear it's good for the nerves.

Whats up V ?

Here we go again

So Rosulek, are you trying to tell everyone on here that for 50 bucks you have come up with a way to make your wastegate open sooner which prevents power from being made so you can maintain traction? Or do your wastegates open upon loss of traction? I'm confused by your post as usual.

What up doggy dog?. I actually didn't mean anything against the dude above, just busting *****. If you worked in a shop all day with as much smack talk,...you'd understand.

We'll talk or pm, don't want to kill dudes thread, i'd like to seriously see some pictures of it though.

You won't see any pictures. This guy is a little off. I think he means well, but I also thinks he's a nut. Still haven't seen a picture of his car, and all of his previous posts have to do with magazine reported info. AKA the old Killemall style of posting. No offense Killemall. You'd think a guy as into his car as this guy is, would have tons of pics and even some video, nope. Nothing.

I only added a simple switching capability. I had the adjustment already. You see turbo power is more effected by the temp. then NA power since boosted power is less efficient then NA power.
Anyway, my boost controls are behind the rear tail light and on any day up here the power can vary a lot. 40deg in the morning and 60deg in the late afternoon. This left me with less then optimum power or dangerous traction much of the time. Now, I have it all worked out with the capability to do it easy (although the HKS boost controller would have been nice in retrospect):

Below 55deg I bypass the boost controllers on the street. On the freeway I just used 4th gear with my max boost momentary switch.

Above 55deg I don't bipass and have enough to go good through 3rd gear.

Above 65deg I supplment with momentary high boost above 75mph.

My gears, the freeway ruts around here from studded tires, and the turbo power has made it necessary to figure this stuff out. YOU GUYS CERTAINLY ARE NO HELP!
