My Motive 3.42 geared rear is a bitch at the drag strip. But I can 1/4 mile, standing mile, and get groceries with the car all while trying new things out.

BTW, is your car tubbed ? I'm trying to figure out if 18x12 rims will rub on the upper "A" arms if I go airborne.
I plan on using some of those new LG coil overs (red adjustable) ones since I'm throwing in the C6 Z06 differential and rear left over from old blue. The coil overs will help limit my droop.

My 3622lb Vette (with me in it) on 91 oct pump gas and just like I drive it on the street went 178mph into a 20mph headwind (512rwhp). With the 750+ hp range that V-series is talking about should be good for the 200stab. Hell I'm going for 200 with tha much power in an 8point caged, 10lb fire system, ac equiped, parachute equiped street car that my girlfriend drives also. Its all do able and I like the routes that are being taken.

Everything is different, except for the turbos, which never saw more then 11.5psi. They'll be closer to 20 this time around. New intake, new heads, new block, new fuel system-completely new and ready for 2xxx hp. Nothing is the same.
Looking for 1000-1300rwhp. No bullshit.

787 is on the stoock bottem end, untouched AFR 205's, and a fast 90...not to mention, a fuel system that was maxxxxxed out at 5000rpms and 700rwhp.

I'm just real theoritical. V-Tech has a hell of car and I could see him pulling off 200 + mph in the mile.
I see that some guys with a lot more power do really poor times due to traction or other handling problems, to guys with way less power.
It seems that you need to put together a great combo of things when building a car for a top speed run.
- Traction
- Handling
- Brakes
- Power
- Gearing
Boost by gear would greatly aide traction and help improve top speed and time.
Wish I lived near one of these mile events as it would be a good place to go and get some real world experience.

My comment about the corvette forum,..it stands in my opinion. For example, everyone on there, is a rocket scientist. Everyone knows everything because the internet told them so. Most of them pay to have someone mod there car,...to that, what insight could they provide someone like myself, or you for that matter? That place, as I said, has very CRAFTY(as in smart) people... the rest, either are cool, and admit they're lack of knowledge, or they are dipshits,...and act like they know everything. Thats that forum,..imo.

Your very right,...combo is everything. Each thing, will compliment the other. We'll see what happens with traction...I don't thing i'll have a problem mid 3rd and higher...I hope. Thats with RA1's more then likely. We'll see though. In this car, it's always a learning experience but,..on paper it looks good.

Highly recommend taking a trip to texas/miami or maxton one day, and watch the event,.. in some way, see if you could participate. I promise, you'd probably be very much hooked.

Yeah, computers always get the best of me, more so lately. The CF is a great place for info......alot of people... alot of problems/questions/insight. Dechipher through it,..some of it's very good.
Looking forward to the runing project,...I don't know if I will have it "finished" anytime soon,...I foresee another 5-10 years of modding this beotch.... as I don't have tons of cash,... don't have tons of time but,.. this car isn't going anywhere,...at the moment, neither am I,... might as well make a long term project out of it. Step by step, one day at a time.

When you modified your fuel hat, is the ecs spacer used as the return or the fuel feed?

The Toyo RA1's are very nice tires. My buddy who road races runs 275 & 335 /18 combo and his car really sticks in the turns.
Would love to get out there one day and watch/participate but my job is so unpredictable. One day I'm here the next day I'm in NY, Texas, Florida, etc ...
I would need to plan way in advance if I ever wanted to go.
I'm slowly working on my SW Z06 that I bought. Been picking up parts as time and space allows. I got so many parts right now from all of my other car projects that I have no space left to put anything until I can sell some of the stuff off.
Hope to clear out enough of the stuff over the next several months so that I get the car back into the garage by winter. Right now I have (3) motors a couple trannys, differential, exhaust, body kit, C5 chassis, and a whole host of other parts to sell.
