Hey J-man,

If you're using coil overs;

- C6 Z06 Tranny and Differential.

- C5 Torque tube but need to notch out for front tranny pump.

- Pfadt Offset Mounts

- Rework Cat Back exhaust (Over axle area).

If you don't use coil overs, you'll also need to add C6 rear leaf spring and lower control arms. This method pushes your tires rearward about 3/4".

I run, Coilovers, dumps, so i'd only need the mounts, and to notch. Everything else is already done.

Cool, thanks tony

Yeah the real biotch is doing the over axle exhaust work. You have to cut the hoops over the axle area and extend them a couple of inches.

It's a solid set-up but take a look at the gearing. I think you run out of gear up top at around 210.

So just wondering. since your obviously spending alot of coin on this project. why not make it a 402?

no hate or anything, just curious.

I'm interested to see how this turns out, especially with an FRC. The Coupes are a good bit better aerodynamically at higher speeds.

I doubt it will matter much at your power level however.

Ah,..i'm spending alot but,..i'm not spending alot kind of a deal?...to me it's alot but,...probably cheap to alot of people. I pretty much won a built motor in a cards game,...so to speak. The motor happened to be built for boost, with low miles. Actually I traded hours and hours of labor for it. Hours. I then purchased a fuel system, heads, gaskets, lifters. I need a cam/intake. Probably a water pump and a radiator as well. So,.. I am close but,..thats why I didn't go to a 402.

That, and the shear fact of why? In a cool way, why would I need to up the cubes on this setup, with the intended purpose of this car? Small cubes have made big power forever with forced induction. Prove to me that I need them and then next motor I build from ground up,...i'll go big. For what I am trying to make....1xxx plus,..364ci and two 67mm and E85 should do that without any issues. Just don't see the need. A 346ci would make 1000+ with that setup.

Can't wait to see videos either. Honestly don't know when it'll happen.

No your right. The targa cars are sleeker at speeds above 170 mph. I know it's against me...just hoping I have enough power and gear to make it happen. At these speeds, soo much matters. Hoping that the car being very low helps. When at the event, I may even drop it down lower on the coilovers to disallow as much air as possible underneath the car. Hoping the extractors being cut into the hood come out well and function as I think.

Long story short. 2 trailer flats in nashville. Truck died mysteriously and wouldn't restart in Knoxville at midnight (6.0 with 70mm front mount overboosted going up a hill). Truck overheated going through Ashville N.C., burning the **** out of my hand after I let it cool and it burped on me. Then the trucks hose from the fuel pump to bucket split in Charlotte in the middle of Charlottes friday night rush hour on 485. Sat and sunday I couldn't pass tech (for a 200 pass) due to my head restraint not being rigid enough. Monday $225 tow bill for a 3 mile tow (truck and trailer). 32 hours to drive from St. Joe Mo to Maxton and 18.5 to drive back :lolg:

Happy note my Vette gets 24.2 mpg with a chute hanging off the back and the ac blasting all weekend long.

I'm thinking about loading up my drag week trailer with the minimum needed gear/tools (4' by 4' pulled behind the vette) and driving back to Maxton ready to pass tech for a 200mph run. Then I'll run my best shot at 200mph and then drive homw saying "haha my street car has ac, what does your racecar have?"

Nice buildup. I like the custom billet work for the fuel system.
