They're good cars. They're also not the first year of C6, so don't worry.

Make sure that there are no open recalls that need to be done. Roof, active handling are 2 current open/new recalls that are out on that model. If they are not done, get them to a dealer!

Different motor than the LS1, it is an LS7, 427 cubic inches/7 liters, dry sump all aluminum. Great cars. I love mine!

Are you referring to the exhaust valve controller/remote? If so, there are a few manufactures that make them, mild2wild comes to mind. See if you can find out what system is on the car---the 'relay/box' should be located on the passenger floor board under the carpet in the fuse panel.

Hope this helps you! Good luck to your cousin, if he gets the car he will love it!

06's only major problem that I know of is the roof problems. Have him do a dealer check to see if the car was in for the roof repair. I guess there is something with the active handling, that Bad66 brung up.

When I get one it will be a 06, can't afford a 08 and don't want a 07.

Yeah. A stock C6 Z06 is easy to drive. It has a nice buttery soft clutch too.
