NEW 6L80E PowerPacks Finally! After working with Alto and waiting for quite a while, the 6L80E PowerPacks are about to arrive.
Now you can make some serious horsepower without having to worry about burning up the tranny.
The 3-5-Rev PowerPack has 14 single-sided plates which is the equivalent to having 7 conventional double-sided frictions (stock has 4) for a +40% increase in surface area. Plus, they are lined with Alto's Red Eagle http://www.altousa.com/friction.htm high performance racing friction material for an even more increased clutch capacity!
The 4-5-6 PowerPack has 18 single-sided plates (stock has only 12, some models only have 10) for an over 33% increased surface area! Also lined with Alto's Red Eagle racing friction material.
A 2-6 PowerPack kit in still in the works. May be some time before it's available. For the time being we will continue to use the Raybestos Stg 1 clutches in the 2-6. For what it's worth, we've seen the 4-5-6 & 3-5-rev get the worst beatings.
We should be receiving our shipment of Powerpacks from Alto any day. Supplies may be slightly limited being a new production run. So I'm making these PowerPacks available to LS1Tech community first! I will begin taking pre-orders now for those who are interested.
