Interesting question. I have seen (and repaired) several HARD hit cars, both front and side impact. The biggest issue as I see is the car is so low it tends to go under anything bigger than a moped. They do seem to do OK as they have a full frame/halo bar(unless convert) and heavy A-pillar/door Jamb/dash structure. That said, unfortunately, lots of them are wrecked at relatively high speeds I suspect,so by comparison sakes they tend to be more significantly damaged.I know that doesnt really answer your question but I hope it helps.

I have seen alot of people survive C5 accidents. The car is VERY durable in HIGH impact situations. Sure, the car may be toatled afterwards but, the majority of the time, if you are buckled in, you'll walk away.

Many friends...have killed these cars...trees,...walls...litteral 20 feet in the air 120+mph impacts intall concreate(witnessed this with my own eyes).... and people get out, unhurt,... nearly every time.

All wearing seatbelts.
