Lookig for a C5 corvette auto
Now what you can look for and know is the following;
Shift points-make sure that the shift points are crisp and sharp
Shifting- make sure there is no slipping or lazy shifting
Tranny fluid- while it is not easy slowly unplug the refill plug driver side on the tranny and once the fluid starts to come out smell it for burning and make sure it doesn't look rouge brown if it does RUNNNNNN lol.
History- it is in your best interest to have a maintenance documented Corvette. That will tell you how it was taken care of.
If you run across a Vette with an aftermarket build 4L60E like mine...run I literally try to blow that tranny every time I go to the track and I have had no luck.
codes
GU2 = 2.73
G92 = 3.15
don't trust the code...get her up to 75mph put in 3rd and
RPM should be 2730 for 2.73 and 3150 for 3.15 3420 for 3.42 3730 for 3.73 and on and on
many swap the ring and pinion on these so you cannot tell by looking at it.
good luck
