Default C6 overheating

My sister has an 07 vette and the fans don't turn on. If you let the car sit it will over heat and shut down the A/C. This happened once before and she took it in under warranty and the dealer said they replaced the fan relay. Now the car is out of warranty and I want to try and replace the part myself. The car sits a lot and goes though batteries because she never plugs the damn thing in to the tender. Any ideas?

I am going to guess it is the cooling fan plug. I believe these were know to melt and cause the fan not to work. It should be an easy fix if that is the case. I thought that it usually happened when people altered the tune but it would be worth checking.

So no burned connector. Any way the module could be bad?
