Default a/c lights not illuminating

hi i have a 99 c5 a4 and the a/c controller just stopped illuminating, what would cause this?? any help is appreciated thanks

There is a DIY thread on corvette forum that has a how-to for this. Basically you take the control panel apart and have to resolder a couple connections. Supposed to be pretty easy. I'm going to be doing it to mine soon. Or there is a guy on there who will do it for you.

Yeah like the above post its fairly common just make sure you dont soder the wrong connects.

Send it to JWM and get the lights changed out to LEDs. That should fix the problem for good. (LEDs don't give off a lot of heat.)
